Frets On Fire Multiplatform Open Source Keyboard Guitar Rythmer

Frets on Fire is a game of musical skill and fast fingers. The aim of the game is to play guitar with the keyboard as accurately as possible. It was created as an entry to the Assembly 2006 Game Development Competition by Unreal Voodoo. It placed first in the competition.

Doomsday Multiplatform Enhanced Doom Source Port


The Doomsday Engine is a greatly enhanced DOOM source port available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and most other Unix platforms (source code is provided).

Doomsday supports many games including the classic first-person shooters DOOM, Heretic and Hexen.

They aim to retain the original feel of the games yet leverage modern techniques and technologies, including hardware accelerated 3D graphics and client/server networking. A lot of emphasis is placed on good-looking graphics.

Aleph One Bungie's Now Data Free First Person Reaction To Doom

Aleph One, available for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X, is the open source continuation of Bungie's Marathon 2 game engine, enhancing Bungie's original Marathon games with modern OpenGL shader support, Internet co-op and multiplayer, modern mouse-look and gamepad support and plugin support for modifications. It supports Marathon through a fan-made conversion, Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity natively, all three games can be download for free. There are many third party scenarios and net maps also available.
