I just improved gstreamer LADSPA plugin to work with Gstreamer 1.0, and even perhaps move from -bad to -good. It has massive improvements, and features, yet lacks testing.

Be aware of 1.7 breakage, mainly "yum remove ogre" before to take all the dependencies. You can't take profit of anything in Fedora linked against 1.7, you'd need to rebuild it (if possible). Consider an "exclude=ogre" in /etc/yum.conf.
# yum remove ogre
# yum localinstall {ogre,ogre-devel,ogre-devel-doc,ogre-samples}-1.8.1-1.fc1?.i686.rpm
For 64 bits you could:
# rpmbuild --rebuild ogre-1.8.1-1.fc?.src.rpm
